MING Studios Artist in Residency Pre-Application
MING Studios invites professional and emerging international artists to Boise to create new bodies of work. Artists in Residence are invited to Boise, Idaho for short-term working residencies of 1-3 months.The residency period concludes with a solo exhibition representative of the Artist in Residence’s research and work produced while in Boise. Artists are requested to organize/host at least one public event/program (artist talk, community dinner, workshop, studio visits with Boise Locals, etc) during their residency. MING Studios supplies amenities such as studio space, materials, living quarters, stipend, transport and tools. MING Studios requests that potential resident artists apply for grant opportunities in their home country to support their projects. Proposals are submitted to a selection committee that considers the artist’s experience, quality of work, and audience reach. AIR Application Process Pre-Application Artists interested in MING Studios' AIR Program should fill out the Preliminary Application form to the right. MING Studios' team will review the information provided in the pre-application. A website may be provided in lieu of providing artwork samples. It is strongly recommended that artists upload a CV if not available on the website supplied. Successful applicants will be sent an invitation to apply for a residency at MING Studios by filling out the AIR Application. Final Application Select artists will be sent a thorough AIR Program application form. At this stage artists will be requested to send in detailed contact information, artwork documentation, artist statement, project proposal, budget, timeline, etc. MING Studios' team will review all AIR Applications in detail, and select artists will be sent an invitation to travel to Boise as MING Studios Artist in Residence.
