TIMELINE
Application Deadline: Friday, November 19, 2025
Announcement of Selected Artists: Monday, December 1, 2025
Residency 1: December 16, 2025 – January 26, 2026
Residency 2: February 2 – March 16, 2026
Residency 3: August 10 – September 21, 2026
Event dates decided upon with selected artists.
ELIGIBILITY
Local resident artists and artist groups are eligible to apply.
(Note: This residency provides a workspace, not accommodation.)
Applications from artist collectives or groups are welcome; however, only one $500 artist fee will be awarded per residency period.
REQUIREMENTS
Selected artists will be required to hold two public events:
Residents are also asked to share regular updates during their residency, including images that document their studio environment and creative process.
Selected artists must review and accept the guidelines for the use of MING Studios’ space.
To Note: MING Studios will continue its regular 7o’clock programming throughout the residency period.

- 1. An open studio at the end of the residency.
- 2. One additional public event of their choosing, such as an artist talk, community discussion, workshop, performance, etc.
Residents are also asked to share regular updates during their residency, including images that document their studio environment and creative process.

Include up to 10 images/links or links to 3 short video/audio works demonstrating recent or relevant projects. Provide passwords to access video or audio works, if applicable.

Indicate your preferred and available residency periods. List all residency periods you are available for in order of preference. Do not include periods when you are unavailable.

2. Artist Biography (Max. 250 words)

Describe your project or focus for the residency, addressing the following:
- How you intend to use the time and space at MING Studios
- Ideas or directions you wish to explore (experimentation, research, or production)
- Anticipated outcomes or goals for the six-week residency
4. Public Engagement Plan (Max. 250 words)
Briefly outline your ideas for the required public components:
- Open Studio: Describe any ideas you may have for the open studio. (optional)
- Public Event: Propose at least one additional event (e.g., artist talk, workshop, performance, etc.).
5. Work Samples

- Brief description (1–2 sentences, optional)
